Responsibilities

  • Product Support Engineering is tasked to improve Siebel product reliability, availability, and supportability (RAS). Associate Product Support Engineers will achieve general familiarity with Siebel Applications, and specialization in at least one functional area.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of Product Support Engineering leads on projects for improving Siebel Applications RAS characteristics. Handle technical work of low to medium complexity.
  • Provide general technical assistance to Technical Support on service requests of low to medium complexity to enhance knowledge of Siebel products and support processes.
  • Participate in Release Readiness activities for defined areas.
  • Contribute to the Technical Support knowledge base by authoring value-added Alerts, FAQs and Technical Notes
  • Assist with analysis of Siebel Technical Support data (Service Requests, Product Defects, and Enhancement Requests) to determine opportunities to improve RAS characteristics of the Siebel Applications.
  • Attain Siebel Certified Support Engineer status

Guidelines for promotion to PSE

  • Demonstrated achievement of quality project work, including product enhancement and readiness projects
  • Ability to work on issues of medium complexity with minimal guidance
  • Demonstrated in-depth product knowledge in at least one or more product areas
  • Regular value-added contribution to the Technical Support Knowledge Base
  • Siebel Certified Support Engineer
  • At least a year with Siebel Technical Support, 1-2 years is typical

Qualification: BE/B.Tech / M.Tech or MCA from reputed institution

Experience required: 0-5 yrs
